Playwright

Ink of the script runs through my veins

And now it’s stained my mind

My mouth has broken from my soul

With truth I left behind

Collapse the stage

The script’s all wrong

The curtain’s twisted

Masks are torn

The sun bursts with holy light

I’m not an actress, I am the playwright

I’m a spectacle in plastic chains

That I no longer recognize

But out of my puppet theatre cage

I’m a perfectly broken mosaic of scars

The sun bursts with holy light

I’m not an actress, I am the playwright

Life is not a dress rehearsal

Life is yours to write

Life is not a 2D circle

It’s a spiral to the sky

The sun bursts with holy light

I’m not an actress, I am the playwright

The sun bursts with holy light

I’m not an actress, I am the playwright

I have a voice, I have a choice

I am the playwright

I have a voice, I have a choice

I am the playwright
